Google Reviews for Movers

So, you’ve found a mover with a sparkling array of five-star reviews that could put a Hollywood red carpet to shame—before you grab your sparkling cider and celebrate, it’s time do some research.

Reviews can be bought and paid for. Friends and family are always eager to leave reviews. There are even social media call outs for paid reviews.

If your mover has 150 five star reviews in 6 months. THEY ARE FAKE. Brokers and illegal movers are notorious for this. New moving companies that are already set up to fail also participate in fake reviews. They lacks trucks, and long term employees, funds to keep proper insurances.

Tell tale signs:

  1. 5-10 reviews in one day. – Not happening. 100 reviews in one month for a mover is unheard of.
  2. Reviewers with limited review history – Ethnic names are popular with fake reviews bought from overseas.
  3. AI pictures of moving, moving trucks, labor, and pictures of rental trucks – Your mover should post weekly of their work. You want to SEE their employees, see their trucks.
  4. Having little to no long term history, short bursts of reviews. – Established movers have 5 years plus of reviews. The good, the bad, and then the ugly. There’s always one customer you cannot please, or has their own agenda. Detailed responses to these reviews are important. There are two sides to a story.
